Weep No More My Onion

 

While the gnats are at bay, we are having cook-outs. This sauce is good on hot dogs and hamburgers, and as a side dish
with fried potatoes. I have given it the name of a saying I embroidered on a tea towel when I was a little girl.

Weep No More My Onion

In a quart jar, combine: 1/2 cup vinegar, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup corn oil and 1 cup catsup.
Cover and shake well.
Add: chopped onion until the jar is full.
Shake again and refrigerate overnight.
When all the onions are eaten, chop and add more onions to the remaining marinade and proceed as above.
