Country Italian Marinade

 

I made a salad before starting out into the wilds for my walk.

Country Italian Marinade

In a large bowl, combine: 1/3 cup olive oil, 2/3 cup vinegar, 2/3 cup sugar, 3/4 t. dried Italian seasoning, 1/2 cup chopped onion
and 1 cup buttermilk.
Add, mixing well: 1 can drained bean sprouts, 2 sliced carrots, 1/4 cup diced green pepper, 4 sliced radishes, 2 stalks sliced celery,
2 diced tomatoes, 1 cup raw broccoli slices and 1 cup raw cauliflower slices.
Allow mixture to sit, covered, in the refrigerator for six hours or overnight.
This salad keeps for several days.
